The First Word

The Girl has been babbling up a storm for some time now. She has a pretty decent vocabulary: up, duck, cat, nose, shoe, one, two, three, wow and uh-oh (actually those two have been around for a while), and she's nearing bellybutton. But she didn't really seem to associate the word she was saying with the actual object, so we didn't credit any of those as "the first." Until today.

She very clearly looked right at Kyle and said, Da-da. So there you have it folks. Kyle wins again ;-)
